COGS is an independent community development organisation that supports communities, and public & voluntary sector agencies that work in and with communities. COGS believes in communities having more power and influence over decisions that affects their lives.
COGS can offer policy and practice development in the areas of community engagement, community action research and community development. Training, community and event facilitation, project and organisation development can be done on a consultancy or contract basis.

COGS was established in 1997 and works at national, regional and local levels with the public, voluntary, community and private sectors. Tony Herrmann joined COGS as a Director in 2007. He has extensive experience of community development and neighbourhood based work combined with voluntary organisation strategy and management.
