Summat 2016 Volunteers Needed

Posted 8 years ago

Summat 2016 is a social justice gathering with a full day of guest speaker panels, workshops hosted by groups from Leeds and further afield, films, art, singing and lots in between for all ages!

With hundreds of people expected to come through the Summat doors and 25 carefully timed workshops, you can see that we’ll need a bit of help! We’re looking for volunteers to help out with various things on the day, so have a read about the different roles and how to apply.

Registration volunteer

This role involves signing in participants at the welcome desk, giving directions and answering questions throughout the day.
There will be at least one other person on the welcome desk with you, and you’ll be given a shift of two to three hours, between 8am and 6pm.

Workshop helper

This role involves looking after a workshop space, and assisting workshop leaders. You will be assigned a room, for 3 hours, between 11am and 5pm.

I’m interested! What next?

Please email volunteering@leedsforchange.org.uk by Monday 11th April letting us know which role(s) you are interested in and a bit about yourself, and someone will get back to you about getting involved with Summat 2016.

You will need to be available for a briefing on 14th April at the University of Leeds. You can apply to do both roles, or just one.

We look forward to hearing from you!
