Hollybush Conservation Centre

We are an environmental volunteering centre in Kirkstall, Leeds. The site used to be a rhubarb farm, now we have a community café and garden, a woodwork shop, barn and classroom. We provide a wide range of volunteering opportunities for everyone, and we specialise in working with adults who need a bit of extra help to get their lives back on track.


Inkwell

Inkwell is a safe, creative and accessible space where passion and skills entwine, challenging the stigma of mental health and celebrating the diversity of its participants. It seeks to engage, stimulate and absorb all abilities through creative activity. Users develop life skills such as teamwork and problem solving leading to increased confidence and improved wellbeing. Inkwell is a Leeds Mind Project, a charity supporting people experiencing mental health difficulties.


Kirkstall Community Garden

Our mission is to teach people in the Kirkstall area about growing their own fruit and veg, healthier diets and lifestyles and the importance of being outdoors by providing them with growing spaces and the support and guidance they need to achieve all these.

PAFRAS

Positive Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers PAFRAS works with refugees, asylum seekers and the wider community to counter the effects of enforced destitution on vulnerable migrants. Our work has three main strands: - providing immediate humanitarian relief; - long-term support, advice and advocacy aimed at assisting service users to make lasting improvements to their situations; - raising awareness and campaigning locally and nationally on issues affecting our service users.

The Beehive is a shop based in Chapel Allerton, run by volunteers. Our aim is to promote fair trade by selling fair trade products to the local community and the wider Leeds area. We run on a not for profit basis, giving money back to Traidcraft Exchange to reinvest in the producers.
